HA HA! Guy should have shut his mouth. I'm glad he's selling his stock. Nintendo doesn't need morons like him invested in their company anyway. LOL

I love things like this written by people who obviously have no idea what happened to the Dreamcast. LOL
Little known fact: The Dreamcast was a record breaking console. It broke all first day hardware and software sales records of it's time.

The dreamcast was not released coming off a generation of gaming in which Sega dominated the market in both console and handheld sales, turning Billions of dollars in profits as Nintendo has in the 7th Generation of gaming. <...

"didnt read most of" it?
First and foremost, Don't write a response if you haven't even read the subject matter. Would you review a game you haven't played too?
Secondly, there is a difference between "ranting" and making a statement". My statements are respectful, logical, and unbiased. Just formed around an objective opinion and love for gaming. Hardly a rant.

That said, I'll gladly respond to your "points"...

For those who don't understand why I say what I say or think as I think, (LOL_WUT) Check out my comment below #10.1
It answers all that. And there's not much else for me to say.
You guys have a fantastic day:)

Screams "Next Gen"? what? is it all about the graphics for you then? What a true gamer you must be. A leap forward in innovation of the home game market means nothing. Instead, the games have to fall into some arbitrary standard of "Next Gen" that I'm sure YOU get to set, right? LOL
You're exactly the type of "gamer" I'm talking about in my original comment.

To answer your question, yes, I am pleased. A fun and innovative cons...

I have to disagree with that initial statement.
Nintendo is nowhere near "same state as Sega" After dominating the 7th gen in sales and profits and completely owning the handheld market last gen as well as 86.8% of the handheld market today, there is no chance that Nintendo is going to fall off any time soon. Definitely not this gen even if the Wii U doesn't preform as well as they would like.

You need to make sure you define "Fail". the Wii U ...

yeah, after dominating the 7th generation of gaming in both sales and profits, then demolishing all competition in the handheld market...as well as securing an 86.8% handheld market share so far this Gen, I can see how you'd think that.

I love it.
All the Anti Nintendo fanboys did nothing but complain about the "shovelware" they pushed out on the Wii.
"The Wii Sucks because the games are garbage" they said,
"What ever happened to the Nintendo seal of approval?" they asked.
NOW Nintendo says they're making sure there is a standard that will offer a better quality game library and what do they do? They hate on Nintendo for doing exactly what they wanted them t...

I'm betting that it's a timed exclusive type thing and eventually it will come out as additional DLC for the 360 at a price. But that's just speculation.

I don't understand.
How is MS trying to tap Nintendo's market?
If we're talking about the kinect...well, what about the Move? If I were going to say one is more directed toward Nintendo's market, I'd say the move, since it's a complete ripoff and If you think MS only shows Kinect Demos, then you haven't looked at their game library recently.
Also, Since you're mentioning it, though Wii U sales have been sparse in the first months of 20...

I'm just glad to see hardware developers trying to innovate the market.

@MurDocINC
Why would it only work with a clean white room? I thought one of it's cooler features was it's ability to change the appearance of the objects around the T.V. and even distort them.
With nothing in the room, that wouldn't really do anything.
Remember, it's not supposed to make a movie screen out of your wall, it's just supposed to augment reality and add more of the games features/view to the room around you.
personally, I thin...

Let the fanboy ranting begin.

This guy wrote a lot and said absolutely nothing.
it's just a bad opinion piece.
He covered nothing specific or factual. it was just his own perception and speculation. Worst of all, it sounded very Bias. Especially with the old telltale
"I used to be an xbox guy" to drive it home. It's like screaming out
"Take my word for it, I'm not a fanboy!" LOL

I don't feel the least bit sorry for Nintendo. Nor am I defending them. I'm just saying whats what.
The sales figures majiebeast eluded to were flat out wrong. I was correcting his mistake. I don't think spewing misinformation while saying it's a fact is very responsible.

I should have said 3rd party exclusives. (instead of support)
yes, they did get a lot of multiplatform titles. My problem was that the only exclusi...

so a line of videos that show Wii owners seeing the difference between the Wii and the Wii U, and showing them enjoying it as a family...is reaching for a panic button?
I don't get why.

I'm inclined to disagree. You call them facts, but I think you're spreading a little misinformation. Internationally the Wii U is right on par with the PS3/360 and actually sold more than either of them in their first 4 weeks respectively.
The 360 sold 940,000 in it's first four weeks.
The PS3 sold 540,000 in it's first four weeks
The Wii U sold 1.8 million in it's first four weeks.
That means it had a better launch month than either the PS3...

I honestly felt like this is all stuff Sony should have told us the day of their announcement.
Seriously. Why make a new console announcement when you don't have a release date, price, games, or even console to show?
They said, "hey, we have a console coming out"
Then showed us some tech demos, very little actual development on PS4 games, and a controller.
The best games they showed were Current Gen and some were multiplatform.

Pure disappointment.
It has sat unplayed for months.

I stand corrected. I never have a problem admitting I'm wrong. I'd read something on the Wii U that was inaccurate so I appreciate the information.
But the other info (wii and gamecube) were accurate. We do know the Cube turned a modest profit and the Wii killed.

@ctorretta, Thanks for supplying that link. It was well received.

I'm reading now that Nintendo's fiscal year ends on March 31. For the first nine months of the year, (as of J...

Thats a foolish thing to say.
You're basically telling us that Nintendo continuing to make games featuring the most iconic franchise characters of video game history is a bad thing.
Fact is that Nintendo has innovated the market and released some of the most well received games ever.
Nintendo makes games that appeal to everyone.

Also, It's not Sony making the best games for the Vita. It's the 3rd party devs. Check out a list of the top ra...
